Special Messages on WORSHIP
When we gather on Sunday mornings to worship on the Lord's day, we enter into the presence of God in the Heavenly places (Hebrews 10:19-22). As we approach His throne, we receive the covenant promises of God
through His divinely appointed means of the preaching of His Word and the sacraments of the Lord's table and Baptism. Worship involves God communicating His promises to us and our response to Him through
prayers, and signing of Hymns and spiritual songs. It is important for us to recognize God's majesty and holiness and the greatness of His grace. It is because of who God is and what He has done for us, that
we are able to draw near Him with joy and confidence (Hebrews 4:16), and with hearts full of "Reverence and Awe" (Hebrews 12:28-29).
Coming into God's presence means crossing the threshold from the common to the Holy, the earthly to the
heavenly, and the secular to the sacred.
